Team News: Trevor Daley previews CSBK round 4

Trevor Daley readies for CSBK’s season-ending triple-header shootout at CTMP this coming weekend

Well, folks, it’s here. Where the summer went is anyone’s guess, but three pro superbike races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park northeast of Toronto will help ease the pain of a summer on the wane.

CTMP is essentially a mega-fast bowl, where getting away from other riders is nearly impossible, which makes for some of the closest racing on the CSBK calendar. Trevor is ready to end the season on a high note, and a successful pre-season test at CTMP has him locked-and-loaded for the weekend.

With Trevor’s four podiums already matching his career-best tally, Trevor feels he’s ready to exploit the title aspirations of his contenders, who can’t risk a get-off. Trevor, who sits third in the standings despite riding the past four races with a fractured foot, isn’t in the title fight, but in the spirit of making lemonade from lemons, he’s ready to dice with the duo in front of him in the standings to make their lives more...complicated.

Making the trip east for the CTMP round is Saskatchewan’s most popular (and only) former World Superbike rider. Brett McCormick, known for his peculiar taste in automobiles, brings a wealth of strategic assets to Trevor’s weekend program and will team with a nationwide crew to make sure Trevor’s GSX-R sings sweetly.

And we can’t end a preview of the big CTMP race weekend without mentioning the fans. If you’re going to see a race this summer, this is the one. With beautiful grounds, a flowing track, and multiple vantage points for viewing, CTMP is Canada’s Mugello. And, it goes without saying, while you’re at the track come to Trevor’s Suzuki Canada pit and say hello.
