Team GP Cycles Taylor Triumph Nova Scotia Update
Michael Taylor was pleased to learn Thursday he has been cleared to race at upcoming Mopar CSBK rounds at Atlantic Motorsport Park in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia.
Popular veteran Taylor awaits full surgical repairs to a torn tendon, the result of misadventure at round two of the Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike series at Autodorme St-Eustache, Quebec, on June 26. However, Taylor is confident he can still perform well at one of his favourite venues.
Michael last rode (and won) at Shubenacadie in 2013 on a Harley Davidson XR1200 as he campaigned towards an eventual runner up honours in that now-defunct National Championship "spec" series.
This year's sponsors GP Bikes, Mr Metal, and Goderich Toyota, have joined with Motovan and Hindle in supporting the 'old man' in his attempt to net another championship to his tally.
The Triumph is expected to do well at 'Shubie', despite Michael's handicap. The famed circuit boasts the most technically challenging set of camber and elevation changes of the series and awards circuit knowledge and set up experience. The Triumph team made strides at the last round in power delivery and chassis development, both key at the 'Rollercoaster'.
"Deux Montagnes" in Quebec boasted four different manufacturers on the front row of the Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike event. Look for Triumph to be a contender for the both potential Double Header wins on the July 16th/17th weekend.
