Veteran Ace Racer Jeff Sneyd will be competing once again in the Mopar CSBK Canadian Superbike Championship event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Yamaha equipment provided by Surette Racing. The Yamaha R1 Superbike prepared by TJ Surette is also backed by Impact Cases Inc. based out of Markham, Ontario.
"Jeff's history at CTMP is proven with a Superbike win back in 1995 on a Ducati," says Team Manager Stevan Tubic - VP of Impact Cases. "We know a lot has changed since then in terms of technology and the level of competition. With Jeff's experience and recent conditioning training we feel he's capable of being competitive and finishing in the top 10."
Some of Jeff's accomplishments include National Pro Rookie of the year in 1994, held the National Lap record in the Pro 600 Supersport Class with two National victories at Mosport in that Era. In 1996 Sneyd awarded Honda Canada with their first National Pro 600 class Win in over 9 years at Mosport. "My desire to compete at the top level is certainly there, 100%. I am excited to be back on a Superbike and racing this amazing track alongside all the young guys. I just want to have fun," says Jeff.
Jeff has spent some time between a few SOAR events at Grand Bend and last year's round at CTMP along with an entry in MotoAmerica's Final round in 2016 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The decision was made to focus on Superbike and this upcoming weekends finale in an effort to secure a full program for 2018 CSBK season.
