The 2026 MotoMini Canadian National Championship Series resumed for round two at Lombardy Raceway on July 4, at the .866-kilometer-long venue that the tour has called home for the past five years.  Torid weather lead up to race day, but cooler and calmer conditions favoured competitors at the track north of Kingston, Ontario.

In the more popular Ohvale160 class, Martina Cardenas backed up her pair of second place finishes at the Shannonville Motorsport Park opener, earning pole (lap time 48.3 seconds) even though she had a brief trip to the ER (hip and hand) during track day action earlier in the week!  Second fastest in combined Qualifying belonged to Tommy Molnar, the double winner from the first round, with a tour at 48.7 sec.

Fadhili Kraemer showed increased pace by completing the front row at 49.5 seconds, followed by Austin Da (50.2) and Xander Hilligas (51.3).  Will Brown, a double podium placer at the opener, was sixth at a lap of 51.5 seconds.

Molnar took off at the start of the first 12 lap National, with Kraemer quickly into second.  At the finish, Molnar had a solid six seconds on runner-up Kraemer, who was well clear of the battle for third between Da and slow starting Cardenas.

In a fight with Championship implications, Da held off Cardenas by just .2 of a second, Da scoring third with Cardenas off the Podium in fourth.  Hilligas placed fifth, last racer on the lead lap.

Molnar got another great start in race two, but this time Cardenas finally got a decent launch but couldn’t work traffic as well as the leader.  Molnar ended up with the win by just .24 of a second, making for a perfect score – four straight wins.  Kraemer earned third, ten seconds further back, with Da fourth from Hilligas and sixth overall Brown.

Cardenas had the consolation of turning the fastest 160 class lap with a tour at 48 seconds flat in the second race, Molnar second best with a 48.4 effort in race one and Da next with a 48.9 best, also in the opener.

In Qualifying for the “big wheel” Ohvale 190 class Jager Stockill was quickest at his home venue, turning a best lap at 45.16 seconds.  Second on the grid was Stockill’s arch-rival Stefan Tanasic with a best of 46.2, then Eric Sergi next up at 48 seconds flat.

Stockill took control from the start of 190 race one and eventually worked clear to win by 3.7 seconds from runner-up Tanasic, Sergi most of a lap back for third.  Fastest lap was Stockill at 45.7, Tanasic second best at a 46 flat.

It was more of the same in the second 190 National, but this time Stockill built a huge margin of victory, edging Tanasic by over 25 seconds.  Sergi was third with rookie Cohen Byberg in fourth.

Stockill increased his pace slightly to set the quickest race two lap at 45.6, with Tanasic next at 46.1, then Segi setting a best lap of 48.8 seconds.

Twice a Team Canada representative at the World Ohvale finals each fall in Spain, 613 Cycle-backed Stockill is a perfect four-for-four in 2026, and looking set to travel again this fall.

Next up is round three at the Go Kart facility at Shannonville Motorsport Park, July 24-25, in conjunction with the RACE Moto Regional event, marking the half- way point in the FIM sanctioned National tour for the Ohvale racers.
