The second round of the Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship continued to trend the way of the points leaders on Sunday, with five riders extending their leads atop the standings in the support classes at Atlantic Motorsport Park.
Maintaining a perfect record atop the Importations Thibault Twins Cup class was J.P. Tache, who had to deal with an unusual amount of pressure on lap one before extending another dominant victory.
The Aprilia star has looked mostly untouchable in 2025 and the same was true on Sunday, with local rider Baillie Ives being the only one to even find himself within striking distance of Tache on lap one before he cleared off on lap two.
Former Pro Supersport race winner Louie Raffa would quickly displace Ives and move into second, while top amateur Dante Bucek also capitalized on the fading home favourite to follow Raffa through into third.

Bucek would fend off Justin Marshall before chasing down Raffa in the late stages, leapfrogging him in the final moments to snatch second – a crucial win for the 16-year-old amateur as he moves past Raffa by one point in the championship, though a whopping 34 points adrift of Tache.
Sunday also featured another step in the emergence of Cole Alexander, who recorded his second “daily double” of the season with wins in both the AIM Insurance Amateur Superbike and EBC Brakes Amateur Supersport ranks.
Alexander faced plenty of adversity on Friday and Saturday, picking up penalties in qualifying (fuel infraction) and Supersport race one (shortcut at turn one) to spoil an otherwise flawless weekend.
The 18-year-old rising star had no such problems on Sunday, however, checking out right away and making practically no mistakes as he cruised to a comfortable win in the Superbike class.

Title rival Zaim Laflamme did a great job of damage limitation in both races, finishing second in each, but not without a challenge as he battled with Alexis Beaudoin early in the Superbike event.
Laflamme would eventually clear Beaudoin to keep himself within 30 points of Alexander, while Beaudoin himself had to fight hard to hold onto the last podium spot from local rider Christopher McCrea, who unfortunately crashed out late.
Alexander also dominated the Supersport race from start to finish, similarly stretching out a one-second lead over Laflamme by the end of lap one and never looking back.
The former Lightweight frontrunner continued to stretch his lead with incredible pace, forcing Laflamme into a more lonely but equally comfortable second, with the race within the race being the battle for third between Beaudoin and Nicolas Audet.

Beaudoin would be the early leader with Audet all over his rear wheel, at times crossing the line almost side-by-side, before Audet finally made a move stick with two laps to go.
The runaway win for Alexander – his third in four Supersport races and sixth of 2025 – will open up a ten-point lead over Laflamme, while Audet extended his advantage to five points over Beaudoin as they traded third-place finishes on the weekend.
Home hero Gary McKinnon also converted a lights-to-flag victory from pole position in the Super Sonic Road Race School Lightweight Sportbike class, cutting his championship deficit to 14 points behind Bucek.
A scary lap one crash would bring out the red flags immediately after the initial race start at 11:30 am, bumping the restarted race to the end of the day. Thankfully, riders Mason Archer and Scott Connolly are expected to make a full recovery after requiring medical transport.

Upon the restart almost five hours later, McKinnon wasted no time in jumping out to a comfortable advantage, winning by over nine seconds from the amateur Bucek.
The overall points leader would manage an equally dominant second-place, however, keeping his title hopes in good shape at the halfway point of the season.
Norbert Joo completed the podium after giving Bucek an early challenge, finishing well clear of the closest battle on-track between Jacob Abnett and Sebastian Silva. The two young stars ran nose-to-tail for a number of laps, with Abnett holding off Silva by just 0.778 seconds for fourth.
Jacob Black extended his new championship lead in the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR Cup category, beating his lap record from Saturday en route to a comfortable win over Jean-Pascal Schroeder as he opens up an 18-point advantage in the championship.
The series will now get nearly a month to rest before returning for round three at RAD Torque Raceway in Alberta, July 4-6, with each class entering the midway point of their season through four of eight races.
