CSBK Rider and Team Press Releases
New challenges and partners for “The Shaker”

Mopar CSBK front runner and podium man Sebastien Tremblay of Laval, Quebec, will return to the Canadian National Championship series full time in 2018.  After a career spent on 1000cc machinery, Tremblay will focus on the Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike category for middleweight machinery, riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja backed by DB Moto and S.T. Motosport.

In 2017, Tremblay competed in some rounds of the CSBK tour aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja, and also competed at the famed Bol d’Or World Endurance 24 Hour race in France last fall.  Previously, Tremblay had also shown well in Pro Superbike aboard a BMW S1000RR.

“I’m looking to come back on the scene with a new, strong partner,” explained the competitor known to his fans as “The Shaker.”

“I have Tony Durand of the new Artic Cat and Kawasaki dealer in the Sainte-Julienne region supporting my program, and I am looking forward to building on the experience gained at the mythical Bol d’Or Enduro.

“I’ve been thinking about going into the Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike class for some time,” continues Tremblay.  “I think that my riding style really suits the middleweight machines.  I have never competed in Sport Bike for a full season, but I have done some 600cc class races here and there.  However, I have never had a program aiming to win the Sport Bike National Championship.”

Currently, Yamaha’s Tomas Casas of Peterborough, ON, holds the coveted National number one plate in the Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike category.

“I think there has been a significant increase in the level of competition in Sport Bike over the past couple of years, and combined with a large field and video coverage, this class now attracts much more attention than before.  The racing is close at the front, and I think this class is guaranteed fun.  I’m excited to bring the number 24 Kawasaki to the front in Sport Bike.”

With the addition of DB Moto and S.T. Motosport, the team should be able to launch a competitive National season. Sebastien would also like to thank returning supporters of Moto-Nation and Crossfit Laval, two loyal partners that have helped him throughout the years.
