CSBK Rider and Team Press Releases

Trevor Daley’s OneSpeedInc Suzuki team locked and loaded for fast-approaching 2022 season

The off-season for motorcycle racers. Time for Better Call Saul reruns, snacking on the sofa, and chilling after a summer of travel, testing, and racing. Trevor, however, had an off-season that lasted only as long as the drive home from the final round of the 2021 season. By the time his equipment was unloaded after a double podium, he was straight back at it preparing for 2022.

Returning on Suzuki GSX-Rs for a fourth consecutive season, maintaining consistent equipment has allowed Trevor to further refine his racetrack setup for ’22. With hours spent working on weight reduction and chassis development (the latter utilizing MotoSPEC software), Trevor’s bikes have reached new levels of preparedness.

Joining Trevor’s stable for ’22 is a fresh-from-the-crate GSX-R 1000 that will join last season’s sorted bike for the upcoming four-round, seven-race CSBK (csbk.ca) schedule. Returning to a more familiar schedule after the pandemic interrupted the festivities, a return to Ontario’s Grand Bend and Nova Scotia’s Atlantic Motorsport Park (alongside venues Calabogie and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park) will, by season’s end, more accurately reflect who’s the best superbike racer in the land. “Racing in Canada means dealing with dramatically different circuits with wildly varying surfaces,” says Trevor. “Bike preparation and setup, along with rider readiness, are key.”

To that end, the season kicked off with a successful (if extremely chilly) winter test at the Jennings GP track in Florida, which allowed for the testing of new chassis and suspension parts. More pre-season tests are in order in addition to incorporating tests within the season. “The level of CSBK is high,” says Trevor. “You can’t just show up, unload, and expect to run at the front without having done your homework.”

And what’s a new season without a new livery? Matching the sinister look of Trevor’s GSX-Rs will be Shoei helmets painted by BKD paint with matching race leathers from RST. And because it takes a village to go racing, Trevor is indebted to his family, friends, and fans for their unwavering support.

With gratitude for support in 2022 to:
