#79 MackWeilRacing’s 15 year old Mackenzie Weil from Keene, Ontario is proud to announce that he will be competing in his first ever Mopar CSBK Lightweight Sport Bike series aboard his MotorcycleCourse.com Moto-D sponsored Kawasaki 300 Ninja.
Mack spent his early years racing ATV’s but more recently realized that riding sport bikes was his passion. Mack started taking multiple race schools and track days as well participating in three Shannonville RACE events in 2018 showing promising results. In late 2018 Mack was invited to try out for the RedBull MotoGP Rookies Cup Selection Event in Guadix Spain. Only 110 people from ages 12 to 16 were selected for this event and being 1 of 2 Canadians selected it was a huge honour and learning experience for the entire team.
“This 2019 season will be a huge learning curve for Mack” says Mike Weil, Mackenzie’s father. “He’s only ever ridden Shannonville, Spain and some tracks in the USA, so he will be learning everything as he goes but he’s a quick study.” “Mack is a competitive kid, but he understands that there is serious talent in this class and he is just super excited to ride no matter the results.”
“I love playing sports like football and rugby but racing motorcycles is one of my most favourite things to do” says Mackenzie Weil. “I’m the only one in my school of over 1200 kids that races motorcycles and I’m hoping that I can inspire others to want to get involved with racing. This is the great thing about the CSBK Lightweight series, It will allow beginners like me to start my racing career.”
