Reigning Canadian National Pro Superbike Feature class Champion Alex Dumas of Desmaures, Quebec, will continue with support from Furygan leathers and CL Brake Pads in 2022, as he defends his national number one plate in the CSBK series. Both Furygan and CL Brake Pads are distributed by T.A. Canada.
In his debut on the Canadian National tour last season, Dumas earned the top overall honors for the Fast Riding School/Liqui Moly/MPG Moto Suzuki team, and in 2022 he will look to be the first repeat Champion since Jordan Szoke’s four year run atop the standings from 2015 through 2018. 19-year-old Dumas won four of the seven 2021 feature races and will start his defence of the number one plate at Grand Bend Motorplex, Ontario, June 9-12. Dumas has not previously competed at Grand Bend.
As the youngest-ever overall National Champion, Dumas has the unlikely distinction of earning the Brooklin Cycle Pro Rookie of the Year honors in the same 2021 season! Famed builder Patrice Goyette also took the Dumas squad to Team of the Year honors in his return to the CSBK tour.
Dumas is a two-time National Champion in the Moto America series in the United States, and has already represented Canada in Europe and Mexico during his successful career.
In 2022, Importations T.A. will supply Furygan leather suits to Champ Dumas, complete with integrated airbag system created in the French company’s racing workshop. Furygan also protects a host of top world racers, including Ducati’s MotoGP ace Johann Zarco. CL Brake Pads are also made in France, and in 2021 helped Australian second-generation star Remy Gardner to the Moto2 World Championship aboard his Triumph triple powered KTM.
