Pro Sport Bike rider Austin Shaw-O’Leary from Falmouth, NS will sit out the second round of the Mopar CSBK championship series.
Shaw-O’Leary, who finished fourth in the 2013 Hindle Exhaust Pro Sport Bike championship standings, sustained injuries to his right hand following a high-speed crash during practice for the opening round of the 2014 season at Shannonville Motorsport Park four weeks ago.
“It’s disappointing that I won’t be making this round, especially after missing the opening round at Shannonville,” said Shaw-O’Leary. “But, I hope to be back on the race bike soon and finish off the season with some strong results.”
After the best ride of his career last year at the Atlantic Motorsport Park round, Shaw-O’Leary is aiming to be fit and ready to return to competition on his Pro Cycle/O’Leary Brothers Racing Honda CBR600RR when the championship visits Nova Scotia again in late July.
Austin’s sponsors include O’Leary Brothers Racing, Pro Cycle, Kimpex, Bell Helmets, Oxford Products, Ipone, Vital Sine.
