Defending Bridgestone Canadian Superbike champion Ben Young set the early benchmark at the official Bridgestone Winter Test, narrowly out-pacing rival Alex Dumas on Tuesday morning at Jennings GP in Florida.
Young led the second session with a time of 1:18.085 aboard his Van Dolder’s Home Team BMW, while Dumas topped session three aboard his Purple Skull/Liqui Moly Suzuki with a time only 0.043 seconds slower.
Also drawing plenty of attention to start the morning was the return of 14-time champion Jordan Szoke, who sits fourth-fastest for the LDS Consultants Kawasaki team. Notably between them is Suzuki rookie Pierre Simard in third.
The top-ten in the combined times from Tuesday morning are below, with more track time to come Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday.
