Matt McBride Confirms Riders Choice Entry for CSBK 2017

Veteran Canadian Pro Superbike National competitor Matt McBride of will compete in the Feature class of the Mopar CSBK National Championships aboard a Riders Choice Online Store-backed BMW S1000RR.

This weekend, McBride, 32, of Mississauga, ON, will return to Shannonville Motorsport Park, ON, for the CSBK opener, a National he came close to winning in 2016.  McBride led most of the race and wound up a close third behind Series Champ Jordan Szoke and runner-up Kenny Riedmann.

A former works rider for Kawasaki and Suzuki, McBride will be sponsored by Dainese Leathers, Liqui Moly Lubricants, Arai Helmets, BMW Motorrad Canada, A1 Towing Toronto, Optimate Chargers and Laurel Consulting Group.

“We’re looking forward to a strong season,” explained McBride, preparing for the Shannonville round.  “For the past few seasons we have had a good program with BMW, great support, dedicated staff and we aim to build throughout 2017.”

McBride’s engines will be built by long time famed tuner Gord Bush, with Jeff Bloor again serving as the Riders Choice Online Store Crew Chief.  Matt also counts on the support of his McBride family, extended motorcycle family and large group of fans.

McBride’s first on-track challenge will come Saturday afternoon, May 27, when the Dalton Timmis Insurance SuperPole takes place to establish the grid positions for Sunday’s Feature Superbike National opener.  McBride has a very strong record of performance in Qualifying at Shannonville, including two Pole positions.
