Trevor Daley of Mississauga, Ontario has finalized his plans for the 2014 Mopar Canadian Superbike National Championship.
Daley, winner of the 2012 Amatuer Superbike championship and second in the 2013 Sunoco Pro Rookie of the Year award, will campaign two Suzuki GSXR1000 through the 2014 season.
Zaid Saleemi of Z1 Cycle Tech of Toronto has race prepped both of Daley's mounts. "My B bike is better this year than my A bike was last year," confirmed Daley. "I've had a lot of help from Jon Cornwell as well, both of my bikes have been set up by him and of course with Ohlins suspension."
Daley has confirmed that he will start the season at the RACE regional at Shannonville Motorsports Park in May (9 10 11) as atune up for the opening round of the Mopar CSBK Nationals June 6-8.
"I'm really excited about this year," he enthused. "I've got two really good bikes with brand new suspension, new paint schemes. I've got two sets of Nexo leathers as well as help from Motovan, I'll be wearing a Shoeii helmet thanks to them. Rahul Dua of DUA Motorsports is supplying the bikes bodywork, so yeah, it should be good."
Daley notes that he is on a fitness program that includes a new diet and riding his Honda 450 motocross bike and not just riding but racing. He entered a CMRC motocross at Gopher Dunes recently and ran away with the beginners class win. "I guess it's pretty high risk, I mean it would suck to get hurt and miss any superbike races, but I've got to get as much riding and saddletime as I can get and it helps me stay in shape."
