Team News: New sponsors and returning tech for Daley

For the second round of the 2019 Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, to be held this weekend (June 7-9) at Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, Ontario, the Fast Company Suzuki GSX-R1000 backed by Parts Canada team gains a returning wrench and a bevy of new sponsors.

Long-time AMA/MotoAmerica/WorldSuperbike technician Dave Weaver—from Longview, Florida’s, Full Spectrum Racing—is making the trip north to help rider Trevor Daley hone his Suzuki’s setup. “Dave knows his stuff,” says Trevor, “and has intimate, first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of the GSX-R’s electronics. I’m expecting a boost in my pace from the get-go.”

Grand Bend Motorplex will see Yoshimura R&D of America joining the squad— which is only natural, as the Fast Company-built machines that Trevor commands are festooned with Yoshimura parts. And because a racer’s relationship with his steed is intimate, the addition of Renthal clip-ons will allow Trevor to further tailor the riding position to his liking. Also making its debut this weekend is a new helmet—the HJC RPHA Pro Venom 2, part of HJC’s exclusive Marvel-branded lineup. In Canada, HJC helmets and Trevor’s Tech-Air Alpinestars leathers are Parts Canada exclusives.

Few things in life make a man as hungry as riding a 190-horsepower superbike, so the addition of Toronto restaurant Boo Radley’s as a team supporter is a perfect fit. Located on Dupont street in the city’s popular Junction district, the neighbourhood favourite pub has plenty of great food on the menu and fine beers on tap. Visit booradleys.ca.

If the best things in life are free, Trevor is doing his part to ensure the old saying is true. Suzuki-branded sunglasses and autographed posters, in addition to Liqi-Moly oil giveaways, are yours for the winning. Follow Trevor on Facebook or Instagram (@onespeedinc) and get the goods. The only caveat? You must be at Grand Bend to win.
