The Nine Days of Crevier: Day 2

Leading up to Steve Crevier’s induction into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame on Saturday evening, November 17 at the Delta Hotel in Burnaby, British Columbia, CSBK are celebrating the career of the soon-to-be-Hall of Famer, a six time Canadian National Superbike Champion and works rider for Yamaha Motor Canada, Yoshimura-Suzuki (x 2!), Canadian Kawasaki, Muzzy-Kawasaki, Honda Canada, Diablo Honda/Suzuki and Deeley Buell/Harley-Davidson.

In his break-out, career year of 1989, Steve Crevier completed his season at the invitational Mexican Superbike Race.  His Canadian Championship team was on the way back from a frustrating trip down under for World Superbike where he earned a 12th in the second leg at Oran Park in Australia and was 16th in the second leg of the final round at Manfeild, New Zealand.

At high altitude in Mexico City, Crevier ran up front and won the second leg after a great tussle with German works Suzuki racer Ernst Gschwender.  Crevier is pictured at the Rider Intros with fellow Canucks Rueben McMurter (left) and Tommy Douglas (right).
